Matt had put a request into Buddy his elf that Santa should leave his gifts at his tree this year. This along with the request that Santa clean his room for him were part of a test for Santa and Buddy. Luckily I was within an ear shot of this conversation. So you can imagine his confusion now.... And buddy has magically disappeared leaving his less real looking cousin Sfven to do the job of watching all year long.

Christmas was a hit. The big gift success besides the clean room, the balloon animal maker and dart board.

We hosted Christmas night dinner with Aunt Jen and Uncle John.
Cousins enjoying the Christmas feast. And the candles of the center piece.
Being a great helper as always!!!!
The boys had lite up the luminaries for the night. I love the way it looks.
Wouldn't be a party with out a fire pit.  Again, Arizona Christmas is amazing. James is in a short sleeve shirt.
And what little boy gets his skateboard lite up by his dad? He does look pretty cool.

 More fun gifts.
And thank you Aunt Jenny for finding one of James childhood ornaments. I forgot to take the picture. But that meant so much. It was a great evening. With fun nerf battles and a skype session with Grandpa and Grandma Coffelt in Michigan.  We wish they were here with us.

Merry Christmas 2010!!!!!

The house was filled with excitement for Christmas day. Nothing better than sharing all the fun with family. And watching the kids is the best!
We spent the morning together doing gifts and lunch together.

Do you think he knows what is going on? How cute is he in his striped pants.
 Santa had arrived.
 His first phone.
Josh with his new i touch.
Aunt Amy would not put down Logan. James and her fought for him.
Uncle Brad and Aunt Amy gave matt his first skateboard lessons.

Go broncos! Matt sporting Dad's school.
The gang. James did the high jump to get into this picture after starting the self timer. You would never have known.
Enjoying lunch and some great Arizona weather. Is it really Christmas?
 The boys.
The girls. The sun was so bright.... yikes... I'm sure there is a better copy of this picture out there.

All in all.... a great Christmas morning. Just being all together was the best. We are a blessed family. Rachel even got her first Christmas gift today. Grandpa and Grandma J bought her a swim suit and cute dud's. Can she be here already?? Today we also had to say good bye to Uncle Brian and family.  We will miss you guys so much! Go say hello to Aley for us... we missed her.

It was a quiet night in Agritopia. The boys dressed in lights went for their final ride through the neighborhood before santa would arrive.

When they returned all tired from their adventure....

we heard the front door bell ring.....

who would it be??

It was Santa and Mrs Clause. With a ransom note. We had been ding dong ditched again!!!!!!!!!!!!

With no sign of the elfs who did this.... we brought in Mr and Mrs Clause.

With a little jimmy rigging.... Mr C got this couple to shine again!!!

And you know what ding dong ditchers??? We LOVE them. Thank you!!!!

So the boys went back to watching their christmas special, under the lighted tree.  Ordering up popcorn, cookies and fourth dinner meals.  We know you are out there ditchers.  Watch your door.

Then I went back to the kitchen to finish the cookie requests. Snowballs, chocolate mint, and peanut butter cookies.  Ah... the elfs work is never done.

Meet Tin Lizzie. This was an idea Grandpa Jensen got in his head awhile back.  He really wanted to find one of these gas mini cars so he could start teaching the boys how to work on an engine and drive.  A little tricky to find. So he put James on the hunt. And sure enough.... Lizzie was found. A model T replicar. Think disneyland autotopia.  James and Grandpa J did the pick up in Yuma and it was ready for driving lessons a day later. Its so cute. These pictures do NO justice.

Yes, they had to wear the hat. And they did it with out a complaint.
There was tree climbing of course inbetween driving.

Yes.. I actually drove it. How could I not!! I could barley get out.
Even Grandma J got in on the action. She was quickly disciplined by Grandpa J for going way to fast, and not following the recommended path. Bad Grandma.
There was also some electric bike training sessions. Don't worry that helmet was placed on right after this shot.
Josh was an old pro. Of course this is not his first go cart.  Can you tell he loves it?
 I love this running alongside.
Grandpa J was so excited. I think we will have years of fun memories with this car. Just what he was dreaming about. Making memories is Grandpa J's specialty. I love that about him.  This has always been the case with my sweet Dad. I could make a long list of childhood memories that Dad and of course Mom made happen.

 Can you imagine 16?

Logan was too busy eating a carrot... don't worry buddy, you will have a turn soon enough!
And as always with Grandpas fun toys, there is a learning lesson involved. So, after you play, you must wash down the car. We always take care of these blessings.

Grandpa... it was a hit. We didn't believe you at first.... but you were right. This is going to be years of awesome memories and pictures.  I love you!!!
