Father and son.

The boys waiting for me after the shower. Or spa delight shall I say.  Thanks Lowes.

Time to dig.

I have missed you SD. Look at this set up. Thanks again Lowes.

He could dig all day long.

Day one creation. Started off the titanic ended with happy sea serpent.

Tide pools in front of Del. Great profile of the belly on me.

Sorry So cal friends... we promise we didn't poke too much at the crab.

Sunset at Coronado

We were actually trying to get into as many wedding pictures in the background as possible. I counted 7 brides on the beach at the same time.

Happy san diego matt

I love this. Get those birds Matty.

Surf lesson day one with Uncle Brad.

Uncle Brad and Matthew.

Pizza after a long day at the beach with uncle B and Aunt Amy.

Go Aunt Amy!!!!

Successful stand up requires classic picture.

Successful Stand up!!

Another successful surfer

This is actually a funny picture to those who know what it means to "pump out" the boat. Hee hee

Go Matt go....

It was a few days full of cheering, watching the boys have a blast in the ocean. Surfing with the dolphins.   So much JOY. Thank you Lord for such a great week!

Time to bring in the big guns to get this hole really deep.

I'm not going to lie. It was really cold the last day we were there. The boys were brave in wet suits. The girls.. well.. we stayed warm.

Did I mention Happy Matthew?

Go James!!!

I love family!!!!

Time to end this vacation...

Matt and Uncle B were team mates for scrabble.  Did pretty well.

The coffelts are a "little" competitive.

I love this shot of Grandma J and Matt. So sweet.

Good bye Lady J and san diego for another season.  We will be back soon!!!

This is something off of a hallmark card. So in the morning Matthew would fish while we waited for the sun to come out. And look who would join him. Charlie the dock dog. This dog loves to fish also. So he would come down and hang out with Matty. So cute.

I would have to say my highlight included sailing around the bay with James! He really got into a groove. I am proud to say he fixed the broken rudder and it held up to some great sailing. We had a blast. And he looked pretty cute all relaxed out there.

Genevieve Coffelt
Fall break we are here!!! Silver strand... the Coffelts have arrived. Watch out sea shells.....

You know you are from Arizona when you bring a razor to the beach.

Good to be back on the Lady J! Back to work first mate matthew. The chore list on the boat seems to be growing as he is growing.

Come on, everyone wants to stop and run around those sand dunes off the freeway 8 on your way to california. I always have wanted to stop. The sand looks so silky. We Stopped.

Now, when you stop... don't use a plastic bin top to slide down the illusion of slippery sand. Didn't really work so well. But fun trying.

I could tell him we were in the middle east. He would never know.

Will we do it again? Probably. Its just funny.
And it gets some much needed energy out.

Our little Coffelt Garden is coming along well. Corn all lining up nicely. (However, we did find a wasp nest in one stalk. )

The grape vines are doing great.

Our lettuce patch..... well...... not so hot.
Tomatos are growing. We have been able to taste a few and they are so good! And we pulled a mini carrot to just taste. That was great also. Great job James and Matt. We are learning its pretty hard to stay organic. Especially with the pest factor.

Next topic, not related at all. We came back from San Diego all charged up for a return at fall break. So Matt has decided he wants to save up to rent a wave runner. So the jar was pulled out. I drew up the graph and the jobs began. His first job being scrounging around the house for every last penny. Then he gets paid for pulling weeds at Grandma and Grandpa J's house. So.... we will see how this ends. He has just about two months to earn 80$ CAN HE DO IT?

Don't worry the business man had his buddies over to swim at Grandma and Grandpa J's and then asked them to help him pull weed bundles. He is no dummy.

My "one thing for today" has turned into  My "blog dump for the month". But there is a great reason behind this slacking.  Her name will be Rachel Coffelt. Expected in March. She has wiped me out. I slept through most of the summer. Thank you James for being so amazing and picking up all the pieces! Laundry, vacuuming, mornings with Matt. You are the best.
And now with fall in the air, and morning sickness behind me, reflux ahead... I have no excuse.

We are hoping she has my eyes and hair. James prefers my face shape. I prefer his. I would love his skin tone for her. His height. She needs his nose. My teeth.  I hope she has James's brain. My joy for life. I dream she plays an instrument well. I hope she gets her Grandmothers talent. We hope she loves the Lord with all her heart. So many things to think about.

Amazing.. this is at 12 weeks.
Cute gift idea huh? Thanks sweet Erin. The jars are empty :)
Here we are at 18 weeks.
Its decaf.... don't worry. Isn't this how you have to pose? I look very army. We were close to the Navy base.
Here is the proud brother to be.  Some of Matts comments about this news.

1. Mom, I just plucked a chin hair and wished for a boy. (sorry matt???)
2. "mom, I think its a boy". While walking in target infant section. "Why?". "Because I get all tingly inside when I see blue". ( again sorry Matty.) How about pink?
3. Every time we talk about what our baby will look like Matt has her belonging to the circus. Worlds longest neck, super small, super strong, ten eyes.. you get the point.
4. The day we found out the gender we asked Matt if he wanted us to surprise him with a cupcake at school for lunch. Blue or pink. Matt's response. "no, just write me out a math problem to figure out with a code that goes along to say either boy or girl".  ( you got it buddy)
5. The day he found out video... i have to figure out how to post. Well... he was a little confused (code for disappointed) I asked his buddy Ethan next to him, "ethan, tell matt you like having a sister" Ethans response back was, "not really". Then his other buddy Sam asked Matt, "a sister, what will you do with a sister?" Hum... but you snapped out of it quickly and were genuinely excited.
6. You love to listen to the heart beat and tap on my stomach to tease her. Let it begin.

We are so excited for this little girl. !!! Many many many people have been praying for you young lady!
